PSP v1.50 Homebrew News

Last week there was a major break in the attempt to run 'homebrew' or unsigned code on the US version of the PSP. The JAP version was able to do this out of the box, but Sony made sure to put a stop to this in the US release.

This fix is a sloppy but working hack, and is a step in the right direction toward a working loader. Currently it takes to Memory Sticks to work. The first is a dummy loader that causes the PSP to start loading the program from the Memory Stick. The Memory Stick has to be swapped quickly with the actual program on the second Memory Stick. Some are afraid that this will ruin their Memory Sticks, and this far are still waiting for a single loader.

This morning it was announced that the same group who brought the swaploit as it was called, will be bringing a single card loader tomorrow morning. Stay tuned for more news as it develops.
